ALMAZZAGO

855 m

Almazzago is rich in tourist accommodation facilities, which were born thanks to the growth of tourism following the creation of the Daolasa cableway. In the historical center, characterized by the presence of rustic and charming alleys, there is the church dedicated to San Rocco, which was built between 1511 and 1513 following a vote made by the inhabitants during the plague of 1510 that had affected many places in the Val di Sole, but had spared Almazzago.

In the lower part near the river Noce is the village of Liberdon, a small village of cottages now converted into houses. Further down the valley you can find the Plazamara artisan area and the headquarters of the Materials Collection Centre. In the upper part of the village there is the road that leads to Folgarida and Madonna di Campiglio, along which we find the tourist village of Costa Rotian, built in the typical style of the 70s.
